I am a descendent of William Pangborn b.1741 d.1852; revolutionary and war of 1812 veteran. His youngest daughter Lovisa Pangborn Snow wife of Alanson Snow, all of whom are buried in a small private cemetary in central Michigan, where they moved to in 1826, not 30 miles from where I was born and now again reside.

Thank you for all your hard work. I'm descended from Laura Pangman b 16 Sep 1796, who married Andrew Hull Hotchkiss 5 June 1814 in Whitehall, Washington Co, NY. The most likely candidate for her father seems to be David Pangman b 1767 in CT. He was in Whitehall for the 1820 & 1830 censuses, and died there in 1838. My gggrgrandmother was Eunice Matilda Pangburn (1837 - 1906). She was the daughter of William Pangburn 1792-1878, who was the son of Noah Pangburn (1750 - 1800) son of Timothy, son of Stephan. Great site! Thanks so much for the invite! I have lived in Brown county, Ohio all my life. I have visited the graves of Hannah Fitz-Randolph and William Pangburn. They are buried in a very old cemetery in Red Oak. Most of the other Pangburns and the Meffords are buried in the Pisgah Ridge cemetery, west of Ripley, Ohio, Brown county. Great sight. Looking for info on my GGGrandfather Joseph Philip Pangborn born about 1831 possibly Vermont, died 8-1-1867, in Yuba County, California. Hi I have enjoyed reading the letters from the Pangburn Letters that you have placed on your web site and look forward to future additions. I am descended from Amos Goble Pangburn of NY through his son Joseph B. Pangburn. Joseph married Sarah Luella Lester. Their daughter, Rachel Mueller, was my grandmother. The family lived in Iowa. Is there any mention of this branch of the family in the letters that you have not yet published? I believe that Amos was well known. I have found some mention of him in histories of Jones County, Iowa. I would greatly appreciate any information that you might be able to glean from the letters. I also would like to find out just where Joseph married Sarah. So far, I know that she was born in Missouri but I can find no mention of her or her parents. Maybe she just dropped from space! Haven't read every word but my connection to Pangburns is the marriage of William DeVoe and Ann Eliza Sitterly who's mother was Elizabeth Ann Pangburn(27 Sept 1803, Elizabeth's father was, Joseph Pangburn(16Aug1781), his father was William Pangburn(22Apr1737). Thank you for all your hard work. I'm descended from Laura Pangman b 16 Sep 1796, who married Andrew Hull Hotchkiss 5 June 1814 in Whitehall, Washington Co, NY. The most likely candidate for her father seems to be David Pangman b 1767 in CT. He was in Whitehall for the 1820 & 1830 censuses, and died there in 1838. Other children of David were probably John Jay Pangman b c 1805 and Nelson Pangman b 1807. Mary Ferm

All were descendants of Peter Pangburn, the British soldier who was in the contingent that drove the Dutch off Manhatten Island in 1664.
