Mother’s name at registration of death was given as Emily CLORENCE.

Have not been able to confirm birth in Victorian BDM records.

Ronald probably grew up as a child with his parents at Moliagul before leaving, in 1916, for Landsborough, some 30 kilometres west of Avoca, in Western Victoria and later Koroop, about 1919, a small farming area east of Kerang.

Moliagul State School records:

By 1931 Ronald and his parents had moved to the Melbourne suburb of Malvern East where they lived in the former home of Ronald’s cousin, John Deason. The 1931 Commonwealth Electoral Roll noted Ronald Robert’s occupation as: “electrician” and his residence as: 88 Brunel St, [Malvern East] .

Ronald became seriously ill in 1935 and was admitted to the Queen’s Memorial Infectious Diseases Hospital, Fairfield, Melbourne on 4 November 1935. The hospital record noted:

Ronald was still living with his parents in 1936 at Brunel St. The 1936 Commonwealth Electoral Roll noted Ronald Robert’s occupation as: “electrician” and his residence as: 88 Brunel St, [Malvern East] .

In 1937 Ronald married Florence (Floss) Haines.

By 1942 Ronald’s parents had moved to Cohuna (near Koroop). However, Ronald remained at Brunel St. The 1942, 1949 and 1954 Commonwealth Electoral Rolls noted Ronald Robert’s occupation as: “electrician”, Florence May’s as: “home duties” and their residence as: 88 Brunel St, Malvern East, Melbourne, , .

In 1975 Ronald was living at 16 Olive Ave, Mt Waverley, Melbourne, Victoria.

Ronald’s mother (Florence) death notice indicated that there were 5 grand-children: Geoffrey, Max, Gillian, Pauline and David and 3 great grand-children: Darren, Brett, Philip.
