John was from St Marys.

Note: Huston research (2005) indicates marriage as 1731.

At the time of the baptism of children, Florence (1731), Elizabeth (1734) and Caroline (1738) the family was noted as living at St Mary’s.

John Deasson [sic] made a complaint to the St Mary’s Court in 1755 that Walter Hooper took his piloting job. The court found in favour of John Deasson and ordered Hooper to pay 18 shillings.

John Deason was noted as a Tresco constable in 1769.

At the time of John and Ursula’s marriage in 1730 both were noted as from St Mary’s. At the time of the baptism of Florence (1731), Elizabeth (1734), Martha (1737) and Caroline, (1738), the family was noted as being from St Mary’s.

At the time of John and Elizabeth’s marriage in 1754 both were noted as from St Mary’s, John a “widow” and Elizabeth’s father, William Tossel. Note: Duff research (2006) notes Elizabeth’s surname as “Topsen”, Huston (2005) and Baxter research (1975) note “Tossel”.

At the time of his burial in 1774, John was noted as a “soldier of this garrison”.

At the time of her burial in 1774, Elizabeth was noted as a “widow”.
