At the time of Margaret’s baptism in 1780 the family was noted as living at Tresco.3
At the time of their marriage
in 1801 Margaret was noted as a “spinster” and John a “bachelor and sailor belonging to HMGB ‘Assault’”, both were of Tresco (see Notes). They were married by banns dated by David Evans; Margaret made her mark “X”; John did not; witness – Samuel Ellis.
