Note: Baxter research (1975) records bride’s father’s occupation only as “joiner”. They were married by banns dated 11 October 1857 which also noted both as from Tresco.

At the time of son William’s baptism in 1859 the family was noted as living at Tresco and father, Hugh, a “sawyer”.
