He was born in 1847 in Conception Chile.
He married EVELYN ASSHETON DRAKE in 1895? In Liverpool U.K. He died 1930 Liverpool.
He changed his name we think from DE BRIT to BRITON when he went to the U.K. Thanks

I am looking for information about Sarah FULLICK who was born in
Cosham/Wymering, Hampshire, 22 June 1834, to Thomas and Sarah Fullick (nee
Smith). Sarah (the daughter) had a son Charles Albert FULLICK born 14 Feb
1854 in Wymering. There is no record of a marriage for Sarah. Charles was
reared by Sarah's parents (Thomas and Sarah) at their home in Cosham. I can
find no trace of Sarah following the birth of her son in 1854. Please

I am trying to find my great great grandfather William HAILE(S) and his
family in 1851.

I'd love to hear from anyone who can spot him on the 1851 census ANYWHERE.

The record should read

William HAILES age 39 born Egremont, Cumberland, England occupation Hatter
Mary age 35 born Workington Cumberland
Dinah age 16 born Cumberland
Joseph age 13 born Cumberland
William age 10 born Cumberland
Richard age 6 born Gateshead, Co Durham, England
James age 4 born Gateshead
Moses age 2 born Gateshead

William HAILE was baptised in Egremont, Cumberland, England on December 18
1812, the child of Moses HAILE and Dinah PARKIN.

He married Mary MARSHALL on Jan 25 1834 in Hensington, Cumberland, England
His occupation was a HATTER or HATMAKER.

William and Mary HAILE had Dinah 1834 and Joseph 1837 in Cumberland and
then moved to Gateshead, Co Durham, England. In 1841 they are resident at
Bottle Bank, Gateshead, Co Durham where the name changed from HAILE to
HAILES. They had the following children baptised at Gateshead, St Mary -
William 1841, James, 1843, died 1846, Richard 1845, James 1847, Moses 1849.

Then they vanished into THIN AIR, or OUTER SPACE!!!

In 1881, Richard HAILES (my great grandfather) and Moses HAILES are in the
area, married, so they, at least, had to be somewhere in 1851.
A William HAILES, widower, occupation Hatter, born Egremont, Cumberland,
England is in the Workhouse in Tynemouth, Northumberland, England. This is
I suspect my great grandfather -- but where did he disappear to in the
meantime?

The big question is where did he go in 1851? - I've searched many of the
records for both sides of the River Tyne, the area around Newcastle upon
Tyne and Gateshead, Co Durham and Tynemouth, but have not been successful
in finding him.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My William LATHROPE was born in Devonshire abt.1774/1775 in Devonshire, England, died in 1862 in Leichestershire, England.
Wife: Elizabeth BENDEN or BENDER or any such sound. She was born in mid 1790's in Wiltshire, England. They had several children in the late 1700's and early 1800's. Children were christened at Ottery St. Mary's, Devonshire, England. Some of the children were: Robert, Jane, James, William and Sarah.

Need desperately to document this marriage so I can establish for sure Elizabeth's maiden surname and move on. I am at a Dead End for sure here.

Elizabeth POYNER is my lost ancestor.  She lived in Taynton, Gloucester England.  To my knowledge she had two children out of wed-lock - My Great Grandfather Charles, and his brother Leonard.  Charles emigrated to New Zealand.  I have been told by my Great Aunt (deceased) that Elizabeth died at age 24 from TB.  Possibly born in the 1860"s.
