Hi, I have found out more about my immediate family tree!! :)
I f i n a l l y got death certificates back, and I called the mortuaries, and then the news paper (Times) and then the library, and I got information from Each! And since my bio grandmother was buried there too, I got information sent to me on her too!!! (Ida VIOLET Stark, born 1907 Illinois, and Died in Martinez Calif 1983). (My bio grandfather Lee Marion Stark, was born 1897 in Indiana, and died in Martinez Calif Nov 21,1965). He was married to Ida VIOLET (LOWE) Stark, at the time of his death.
My bio Dad was NOT an only child he had 3 brothers, and one sister!!!!!!!!!!!
(I have 4 sons and one daughter, and in both cases, she is NOT last.)
My bio fathers name was KENNETH LEE STARK, born Nov 13,1923, (Illinois) he died as a result of an accident, in Willows Glen, Calif Sept 30,1966. He was 42, he had been boating all day. (he died DOA at 7:21 p.m.) His wife's name was Virginia.
His brothers were, William, Charles & Andy, his only sister's name was Helen (Zimmerman in 1965) and Freedon by 1983).
I DON'T want to find any one who DOESN'T want to be found, (Aunt's Uncles, half siblings, or cousins...But it would be nice if they want to be and are found.) Yours, Lynn

Kenneth Lee Stark was born 1923 Westville, Vermillion, Illinois. (he died Sept 30,1966 Willows, Glen, Calif. (As the result of an accident.) Also, Kenneth was baptized in the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints Dec. 14,1957.

Obituary Notice:
(Ida) VIOLET Stark, died Feb 4th, 1983 in Martinez, Calif.
She was the mother of Helen Freedon, of Martinez, and Bill Stark of Venice, Ca. and Charles and Andy Stark of Martinez, Calif. (This was in 1983.)
She was the sister of Harley Lowe & Preston & Ralph Lowe, and Annabelle Butts, all of Illinois.
Ida Violet was a native of GRAPECREEK, ILL. She was a member of Moose Lodge No.519, (she lived in Contra Costa county for 32 years).

(Kenneth Lee Stark's death certificate, names Ida Violet (maiden name LOWE) as his mother.)
Obituary notice was in the Martinez Times paper Feb 07, 1983............

My name is Sandie Stark Ward. My father never really knew his father.
It was Marvin Randolph Stark born 11/2/1912. The only other information
I have is his father's name was Frederick J.R. Stark he was 28 at the
time of Marvin's birth and he was a bookeeper in Boston MA. If you have

I have a box of old pictures that belonged to my GG-gfather, James L.
Collins. Most of these pictures were taken in studios in Washington, DC,
probably in the late 1800s/early 1900s. Some of the pictures are labeled on
the back.

One picture is of "Aunt Sophie," with an address on the back:

Stark.)

I am descended from Thomas Stark, born 1874 in Yorkshire, England. Son of Benjamin Stark and Betsy Winn or Wenn. I can't find any information about his family. Do you know of my Thomas or, better still, Benjamin?

UPDATE:
I now know that Benjamin Stark and Betsy Winn had two other children, namely Jane Dawson Stark and William Winn Stark. All of the children were born in Yorkshire in the 1860s and 1870s.
