The present fire station was built with money raised during the 1972 Centennial. The addition was added at a later date. The First Responders also meet in this building. A new flag pole was put up the summer of 2002 in memory of Keith Wishmeyer.

THE FIREMEN

Our fire department consists of 22 members. Fire Chief Gerald Roe has been with the department for about 25 years. Many of our volunteer firemen have served for over 20 years. In 1999 Luke Roe became a 50 year fireman. Luke served our community from 1949 until he moved to Des Moines in 2000 or 2001.
