Research Notes and Questions April 2, 2006 Although I've been able to document Culver Brannen and his descendents fairly well, Culver's ancestors remain a mystery. In particular, I'd love to find evidence (other than the obvious first name) which ties Culver to Thomas Brannen and Sarah Culver. For right now, I've gone under the assumption that he is their son, or perhaps grandson. Under that assumption, this ties my line into the well-documented Culvers of Connecticut and Black River, Hunterdon, New Jersey. I don't know where Thomas Brannen came from--and don't have a clue about his parentage. The Belanger line is a recent discovery. My research there is just beginning. Fortunately, that's a well documented line as well, and I'll just need to tie my great great grandparents in. I'm eagerly awaiting the Nova Scotia archives online project's completion! This should help me find information about my MacKenzie and Eliott lines. I'm also looking forward to a second trip to New Brunswick to do more research into my Robbins, Tower, and Brannen lines. Keep looking at this page for updates, additional photos, and research questions! Thanks for visiting, and as always, Happy Hunting! |
