Henry & Katie (Kook) Sander

Henry Sander was the eldest son of Heinrich Sander Jr, born 1866 in Hanover Province of Germany. His mother was the first wife of Heinrich and sister of Heinrich's second wife, Margaretha Huseman.
Henry emigrated to the U.S. with his father and step-mother (also aunt) in 1875 where they settled on a farm in Jackson County, Wisconsin near Ettrick.
Henry married Katherine "Katie" Kook ca. 1889 and settled briefly in Sarpy County, Nebraska (1900 Federal census) before moving to a farm in Gregory County, South Dakota (1910 - 1930 Federal census records). Henry passed away in 1939 and Katie passed away in 1956. Both are buried in Graceland Cemetery, Burke, Gregory Co, South Dakota.
One child, daughter Jessie, was born to this marriage in 1912. She married Bert Sangster in 1939 and they settled on her family farm in Gregory Co, South Dakota. Bert passed away in 1975 and Jessie passed away in 2006. Both are buried in Graceland Cemetery near her parents.
