Ethan & Sophia (Sander) Allen

Sophia Sander was born 1875 in Wisconsin to Heinrich and Margaretha (Huseman) Sander. She married Ethan Allen in about 1905. Census records suggest they lived in Minneapolis in 1910 and 1930. Five children were born to this marriage; three daughters (Margaret, Dorothy, Bernice) and two sons (Vinton, Ethan). According to Mundt (1994), Margaret married a Mr. Reich and Dorothy married a Mr. Leckner.

Sophia died Feb. 1959 in Winifred, Montana where she had been living with her daughter and was reportedly buried there (her obituary). A search through the 1930 census records for either daughter's married surname resulted in a household in Winifred, Montana for Mahlon and Dorothy Lechner.
