Obituary
Marengo -- Mary Ellen Campbell, 59, of Marengo and formerly of the Marshalltown area, died Sunday, Feb 18, at Cedar Rapids.
Services will be 10:30 a.m.Thursday at First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Allen Wiese officiating. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens, Marshalltown. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Kloster-Valentine Funeral Home, Marengo. A memorial fund has been established.
She was born Oct 5, 1936, in Tama county to Floyd and Ema Rider Fynn. She graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1954.
She married Jackie Campbell Sept 29, 1957, in Marshalltown. They moved to Marengo from Cedar Rapids in 1983, where they owned and operated the Oak Park Drive-In. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.
Survivors include her husband, Jackie; three sons, the Rev. Steven of Whiting, Ind., Michael of Cedar Rapids and Jeffrey of Marengo; two grandchildren; and a sister, Helen Berger of Marshalltown.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Homer Flynn. 7
