Albert McGee, a blacksmith lived in Hulton in the early days. He was born in Clarion County, PA., in 1852, a son of John L. and Hattie (Mahugh) McGee. His father was born in Pennsylvania in 1824, was a boatman all his life, and was killed at the railroad crossing in Verona on March 4, 1886. The mother of Albert McGee was born October 7, 1823, and died in 1866. Albert McGee received his education in Clarion county, and in 1869 commenced life as office-boy for a coal company. For some time he was employed at the Oil City waterworks; from 1874 to 1878 he drove for Dan Stotler and later was employed at the Verona Tool Works. He was married in 1877 to Mary A. Bright, who was the daughter of Michael adn Eliza (Walters) Bright. 10
