McClurg names are included here as census takers often did not record the names correctly and sometimes typists make this error as McClung is a rare name.
Pat Francis and Mrs. Robinson are searching for a Hugh McClung who had a North Carolina land grant in Tennessee: Grant #1610 to Hugh McClung: 800 acres in 1786 in Greene Co., TN on the North side of the Tennessee River. They do not know to which McClung family their Hugh belongs.
