George's wife was recorded as Jenny in the marriage record. This is a strange spelling here so we will want to see the signatures on these documents.

This Indenture made the fourteenth day of July and year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety-six between John McLung of the County of Greene and State of Georgia of one part and Reuben McLung of the County and state aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that this said John McLung in consequence of a deed of Gifts made unto said Reuben McLung by Robert Linn of North Carolina Roan County of a certain black Mare described in said Deed of Gift bearing date the seventeenth day of April one thousand seven hundred and ninety-five and delivered to said John McClung to be held in trust by same for said Reuben until he arrives at the age of twenty-one years with power to exchange said Mare for the other property to be held in like manner in consequence of which Deed of Gift and as an equivalent for the above said mare the said John McLung hath bargained, sell, release and confirm and by these presents doth the said Reuben McLung his heirs and assigns forever all that tract of land lying and being in the County and State aforesaid on the waters of Sandy Creek on the north line of the tract and wherein Thos. Phillips now lives . . . (description in metes and bounds) . . . 250 acres granted to Ethelred Thomas and conveyed to John McLung by Thomas Phillips. Together with all the rights members and appurtenances thereof whatsoever and this said tract of land belonging and anywise appurtaining unto the above said Reuben McLung, his heirs and assigns to his and their own proper use and behalf. And the said John McLung for himself and his heirs to the true intent and meanings of these presents. In writing whereof the said John McLung hath hereunto set his hand and seal the year and day first above written.

This Indenture made the tenth day of May in the year of our Lord, one thousand seven hundred and ninety-six between Thomas Phillips of the State of Georgia and County of Greene of the one part and John McLung of the county and state aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth land on the waters of Sandry Creek . . . metes and bounds . . .250 acres originally granted to Ethelred Thomas and conveyed to Phillips by John Kelly . . .

George McClung of Greene County, Georgia on the ninth day of February one thousand, eight hundred and two sells to John N. Pattillo of Hancock County, Georgia for $350 "all that tract or parcel of land whereon the said George McClung now lives, situate lying and being in the County of Greene and State aforesaid and on the East side of Richland Creek" . . . (metes and bounds). . . on John Baker's line . . . to Hugh Halls line . . . 100 acres.

This twenty-third day of January one thousand seven hundred and ninety six Between George Reed, Sr. of the one part of Greene County and Geroge McClung of Warren County of State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said George Reed for and in consideration of the sum of 307 dollars in hand paid by the sd George McClung at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted, bargained and sold released and confirmed by these presents do grant bargain and release and confirm unto the said George McClung his heirs and assigns all that tract of land supposed to be one hundred acres more or less being part of the plantation whereon George Reed lived on the East side of Richland Creek being part of a survey originally granted to John Ogletree conveyed to the said George Reid Beginning on the low line on the East side of said creek on the bank of a Sugar Tree corner running East Sevety . . .meets & bounds . . . to a stake on Wm Glenn's line to south . . .

This Indenture made on the ninth day of Feby in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and two Between George McClung on the one part of the County of Green and State of Georgia and John Y. Patillo of the County of Hancock and State aforesaid . . . 350 dollars, . . . that tract or parcel where George McClung now lives situate lying and being on the county of Greene and State aforesaid and in the East side of Richland Creek beginning . . . on John Baker's line thence . . . on Basset Turner's line . . . Hugh Hall's line thence . . . containing one thousand acres . . . and the said George McClung, his heirs and warrants and defends this aabove described tract of Lands unto said John G (?) Patillo . . . in witness whereof I the said George McClung and his wife Myrada McClung has hereunto set our hands and affixed our seals the day and year first above written.

Errors in copying names from the paperwork into the deed book at the courthouse are numerous.
