John Gray's will, yeoman--Wife, Agness; son, Jacob son, William; son, David; son, Joseph; son, Benj.; daughter, Ann Gray; son, Samul; son, John; daughter, Elizabeth. Executors, son Samuel and John Lyle. Teste: Archd. Alexander, JAMES McClung, Daniel Lyle. 27th Nov 1751, proved by all witnesses, and both executors qualify, with sureties Archd. Alexander and James McClung.

P. 29: W.Bk 1:513. 15th Sep 1748. Andrew Baxter's will. Wife, Margaret. 100 acres during her life, then to Andrew Stevenson, adjoining WM McClung. Legatee, Nathaniel Evans; legatee, Andrew Evans; legatee, John Pall; legatee Jacob Anderson. Teste: WILLIAM McClung, George Stinson, David Moore. Proved 15th August 1753, by all witnesses; administrator granted Andrew Stevenson, who qualifies, with sureties Geo. Stevenson, David Moore.

P. 40: Will Bk 2:127--21st October, 1754. Robert Mean's will--to JOHN McClung. Money in hands of Edward Thomson and Thomas Thomson. To the said THOMAS McClung the note of James Nilly, which is in hands of Thos. Black; wife a keeping, to said John. Teste: James Gay, Jenot Warrick. Proved 21 Nov 1755. by the witnesses; administration granted Thomas Thompson, nephew and heir-at-law of Robert Means, who qualified with sureties Hugh Hicklin and George Wilson.

P. 44: Will Bk 2:183--2nd January, 1756. John Gatton (signed Patton and order says Patton). John Patton's will--To wife Agness; five children, viz, William, James, Margaret, Isabell, Agness (infants); elder children are already portioned off. Executors, wife Agness, Alex. Miller, John Wardlaw. Teste: WILLIAM McClung, Jno. Stevenson, Mathew Lyle. Proved, 16th March, 1757, by the witnesses. Alex Miller refuses to execute. Agness qualifies with Mathew Lyle and Alex. Miller.

Teste: Thos. Barnes, Thos. Lloyd, Wm. Bryan. Proved 18th March, 1767, by Barnes and Bryan. ELIZABETH (her mark), the others refusing, qualifies, with Wm. Christian, Walter Crockett, Robt Breckinridge. (It appears that this is an Elizabeth McClung married to David Bryan.)
