JEFFERSON COUNTY DEED BOOK B [abstracts]


p. 196: 4 Dec 1824: Indenture made between David Null and Elizabeth Null, his wife, both of the County of Jefferson, State of MO on the one part and Abraham Hillebran of the other part. For $300 David Null sells to Abraham Hilderbran land . . . containing 200 arpens, being part of a tract of land formerly owned by Peter Hillebran, with all the appurtenances, such as woods, ways, and waters, lying and being in county aforesaid, on the west side of Big River, and is one fourth part of the said tract of Land claimed by Peter Hildebran . . . .

p. 234-5 Jonathan Hilderbrand of Samuel Hammond - purchased land at sheriff's auction Dec. 1824. (The sheriff had siezed a tract of land belonging to Samuel Hammond and put it up for sale). Land situated near Sulphur Springs by the name of the Drennin place. Samuel & Jonathan went together to purchase whole tract. Recorded 1 July 1825


p. 249 Abm. Hillebrand and Sally, his wife of the county of Jefferson, State of MO, for and in consideration of the good will, love, and affection we have toward, and for our son-in-law, Hamilton C. Williams, of the county and state aforesaid, do by these presents give, grant, convey and confirm unto him the said Hamilton C. Williams his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land situated in the county aforesaid being part of a certain tract of land whereon the said Abraham Hildebrand and Sally his wife now resides, it being confirmed to the said Abraham, by the United States which will more fully appear on record (Recorder's Office, St. Louis) . . . p. 336 Same parties as above: Hamilton C. Williams and Jane, his wife, of St. Louis County sell to Abraham Hildebrand for $180, 160 acres of original claim. (Sold back to Abraham?)


p. 332 25 Nov 1826: Jonathan Hildebrand and Jane, his wife, sold to Jabez Warner for $30 : parcel on waters of Grand Glaize Creek, 640 acres called the Drennon Place, "being the same land purchased by me at sheriff's sale 1 July 1820" on which Rowland R. Holmes now lives. Witness: Channey Smith and J. Findley


p. 339 11 Dec 1826 Mark Wideman, guardian of Lenard Wideman, one of the heirs of John Wideman, decd and Peter Hildebrand, both of Jefferson County. For $112.50 Peter purchased 2 1/2 acres on Big River to include the mill and seat formerly owned and occupied by the decd, John Wideman.

p. 389 25 Dec 1826: Jabez Farris and Elizabeth of St. Louis Co. sell to Peter Hildebrand for $430; parcel on south side of Meramec River near to what is called Clamorgan's Saline and was confirmed to James Clamorgan, lot #3 of the south range of lots. Sold by James Clamorgan to Clark & Carr (part of a tract of over 2,000 arpens).

p. 13 7 Aug 1826: Abraham Hillerbran and Bassheba, his wife and Isaac Hillerbran and Nancy, his wife of the one part and Michael Null of the second part purchasing for $150 a tract . . of land containing 426 2/3 arpents, situated on Big River, County of Jefferson, joining a claim of Abraham Hellebran on the West and public lands to the north, east and south and confirmed to Isaac Hildebrand, decd which the said Abraham and Isaac Hildebrand obtained as heirs of Isaac Hildebrand, decd.


p. 34: 13 Nov 1827: Peter Hildebrand and Elizabeth, his wife, sell to Jacob Wideman, both of Jefferson Co. for $112.50 . . sell a certain moriety of an undivided tract situated on Big River in Jefferson Co. containing 2 1/2 acres including the mill and seat built, owned and formerly occupied by John Wideman.

p. 185 Land sold for auction -- non-resident, non payment of taxes. Assessed to Isaac HIldebrand heirs in Twp. 42 & 43, Range 3 & 4. Owed $. 212 acres taxed in 1828. William Russell purchased this tract and 3 others for $30.51. Total of 2,500 acres.


p. 365 25 Apr 1830: David and Eva Bryant sell to David Heldebrand for $100 a parcel on Big River - East 1/2 of S.E. fractional qtr of Sec. 29, T.43, R 4E--51 acres, the same tract purchased by David Bryant from the U.W. at St. Louis land office.

p. 371 23 March 1833 Peter Hildebrand and Elizabth to John Ranclover for $600: Lot #3 in the South range of lots, of a survey 2720 arpents of a survey claimed by Jaques Clamorgan on Big Saline Creek. Lot contains 226 arpens; bounded on the south by public lands, east by William Boli; north by Carr and Clark, west by Samuel Burns and Josiah Longworth.

p. 341 24 Mar 1819: Michael Null and Margaret, his wife, both of Jefferson, Territory of Missouri, of the one part and Abraham Johnston of the second part: For $1,500 lawful currency of the U.S. A. Johnston paid to Michael Null that parcel now resides with dwelling houses, barn, stables and other improvements; commencing at SW corner of Adam House's confirmed claim of 400 arpens on Head's Creek deeded to Wm. Russell, forerly of the County of St.Louis. (Wm. Russell deeded to Michael Null containing 240 arpens or 250 acres)


p. 580: Recorded 31 July 1833: David Manchester sells to Abraham Hildebrand the east fractional 1/2 of SW fractional qtr of Sec 12, T. 42, R. 3E - 41 acres for $325.

p. 339: 21 Feb 1837: Samuel Byrns and Nancy, wife to Peter Hildebrand for $174. Part of lots 1 & 2 of a tract of 2720 arpens lying on Big Salean (sic) Creek, survey for Wm. C. Carr & Wm Clark. Byrns had purchased from John Greegen.
