Last Thursday morning, Marcus Harding and his wife accompanied by Miss Hildebran, were on horseback fording the Meramec River, near the railroad bridge, when she fell in and was carried away and drowned. She was a sister to Ben H. Hildebran, and a cousin of Sam; her family lived in Calvey Twp.

Note: The 1860 census of Franklin Co., Calvey township lists some dependent children livng with the Kean family and another we could make out. There was a Nancy b. 1847 and Henry b. 1849. There was another male: W. (or M.) E. with another family in Calvey Twp. Can someone help identify any of these Hildebrands?
