The Creation to The Great Flood
Second Generation
2. *Adam CREATED BY GOD (JEHOVAH) was
born 4004 B.C. in Garden of Eden. He died 3074 B.C. in Olaha, Shinehah.
ADAM: Hebrew
word meaning: Earthling Man; Mankind;
Humankind; from a root meaning "red".
ORIGIN of MAN:
ADAM was created from the dust of the earth by
God. In Hebrew, Adam means man. Adam is the father of all mankind.
Genesis 1:26-27 -
'Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and
let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the
livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the
ground."
'So
God created man in his own image, in the image of God He created him; male and
female he created them.'
Genesis 1:28-31 - 'God blessed them and said to
them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue
it. Rule over the fish of the sea and
the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the
ground." Then God said, "I give
you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that
has fruit with seed in it. They will be
yours for food. And to all the beasts of
the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the
ground--everything that has the breath of life in it--I give every green plant
for food. And it was so.'
Adam was made in the likeness of God. He had a conscience with a sense of
morality. He had the divine attributes
of love, wisdom, justice, and power. All
living creatures were to come under his subjection.
Genesis 2:7 - 'The Lord God formed the man from the
dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and the
man became a living soul.'
God imparted to man the 'breath of life'
which indicates that man stands higher than all other creation of life.
It gave him a unique relationship with his Creator.
God gave man the ability to reflect the Creator's
likeness.
l Corinthians 15:45
"And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living
soul."
Adam was the first man.
Genesis 2:15-17 - 'The Lord God took the
man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. And
the Lord God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the
garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil,
for when you eat of it you will surely die."'
The King James Version of the Bibles
says 'for in the day that thou eatest thereof, thou shalt surely die.'
Genesis
'But for Adam no suitable helper was
found.'
THE FIRST SURGERY: performed by God:
Genesis 2:21-22:
"And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he
slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and
brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and
flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of
ADAM NAMED HIS WIFE:
Genesis 3:20:
"And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was [to be] the
mother of all living."
Eve was made from Adam's rib. Adam and Eve were very unique. They were created, not born of a woman so
they had no navel.
ADAM'S RIB:
Men and women have the same number of ribs. God did not change the genes of men when he
took Adam's rib to create Eve. Children
are born from their parents genes.
MARRIAGE:
Genesis 2: 23 & 24 - God's plan for
marriage was one man and one woman. They were united spiritually and
physically as one flesh. 'The man
said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh, she shall be
called 'woman' for she was taken out of man." And for this reason a man will leave his
father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.'
Adam and Eve were made for each other: Matthew
19:4-6: "And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read that he
which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this
cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and
they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh.
What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder."
OCCUPATION: Farmer:
Genesis 2:15:
'And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the Garden of Eden to
dress it and to keep it.'
God told Adam to work and take care of the garden He
had made.
It would have been such a joy to care for a garden
that had no weeds or thorns.
GOD WAS PLEASED:
Genesis 1:31: 'God looked at
everything he had made, and he was very pleased.'
SIN: Adam was the FIRST SINNER
Adam was told he could not eat of the tree of the
knowledge of good and evil (Genesis
Romans 5:12: "Wherefore, as by one man sin
entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for
that all have sinned."
Genesis 3:1-6:
Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the
Lord God had made. And he said unto the
woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of
the fruit of the trees of the garden;
But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst
of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch
it, lest ye die.
And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not
surely die;
For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof,
then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as God, knowing good and evil.
And when the woman saw that the tree was good for
food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make
one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her
husband with her; and he did eat."
Eve was deceived by the Serpent and God saw that,
but Adam was not deceived and he ate of the fruit anyway.
(The serpent in the Garden of Eden was probably very
appealing and beautiful. He was not the
slithery writhing reptile that we think of today. He became that after the curse. Satan is called a serpent.)
COMMANDMENT GIVEN TO ADAM: The commandment
concerning the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil given to Adam first,
before Eve, because he was the head of mankind and God made him responsible for
his household. The responsibility for
sin was placed on him because his sin was a rebellion against God's laws.
Genesis 3:17-19:
'And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of
thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou
shalt not eat of it: cursed is the
ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life:
Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to
thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till
thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken; for dust thou art,
and unto dust shalt thou return.'
Genesis 3:21-23
- 'The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed
them. And the Lord God said, "The man has now become like one of us,
knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and
take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever." So the
Lord God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he
had been taken.'
Genesis 3:24 - 'After he drove the man
out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming
sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.'
After sin, God cursed the ground. Now it is really hard work to farm and care
for gardens because of the weeds and thistles that crop up in them and they
have to be weeded out.

Acts
Genesis 3:16:
'Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy
conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children;
Genesis 4:1:
'And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bore Cain, and said,
I have gotten a man from the Lord.'
The Book of Jubilees - 4:1 - 'And in the third week
in the second jubilee she gave birth to Cain, and in the fourth she gave birth
to Abel, and in the fifth she gave birth to her daughter Awan.
(7 years is a week: 7 weeks of 7 years each is 49
years = Jubilee. The first Jubilee is 49
years, then add 3 weeks of the second Jubilee which would be 21 years. Cain probably was born when Adam was 70 years
old - 3934 B.C.)
Genesis 4:2: 'And she again bore his brother, Abel.'
The Book of Jubilees: Chapter 4:1 - 'And in the
third week in the second jubilee she gave birth to Cain, and in the fourth she
gave birth to Abel, and in the fifth she gave birth to her daughter Awan. (One
Jubilee is 49 years plus 4 weeks which would be 28 years putting his birth at
3927 B.C.)
The Book of Jubilees 4:1 - '1 And in the third week
in the second jubilee she gave birth to Cain, and in the fourth she gave birth
to Abel, and in the fifth she gave birth to her daughter Awan. (For the First
Jubilee there is 49 years plus 35 years [7 years each for 5 weeks] = 84
years. So Awan was born about 3920 B.C.)
Genesis 4:25:
'And Adam knew his wife again: and she bare a son, and called his name
Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed
me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.'
Genesis 5:3: 'And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years,
and begot a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name
Seth.'
The Book of Jubilees 4:7-9 - 'and in the fourth year
of the fifth week [130 A.M.] they became joyful, and Adam knew his wife again,
and she bare him a son, and he called his name Seth; for he said 'GOD has
raised up a second seed unto us on the earth instead of Abel; for Cain slew
him.' And in the sixth week [134-40 A.M.] he begat his daughter Azura.'
[Taking into account that Seth was born after Abel
was murdered by Cain, Seth was born in the 32 year of the 3rd Jubilee (49yrs
x2) + (4wks x 7 yrs) + (4 yrs) =130 yrs)
This would make the year of his birth 3874 B.C.]
Genesis 5:4: 'And the days of Adam after he had
begotten Seth were eight hundred years; and he begot sons and daughters.'
The Book of Jubilees
[Jewish tradition says that Adam and Eve had 56
children altogether.]
Adam lived for 930 years.
Genesis 5:5:
And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and
he died.
II Peter 3:8 - 'But, beloved, be not
ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years,
and a thousand years as one day.' In the light of this scripture, then
Adam died 70 years prior to 1000, which would be 'in the day that thou
eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.'
*Adam married *Eve
CREATED BY GOD (from Adam's rib), daughter of JEHOVAH GOD THE CREATOR, in
Garden Of Eden. *Eve was born 4004 B.C. in Garden of Eden. She died 3076 B.C.
in Olaha, Shinehah.
They had the following
children:
+ 4 M i. Cain
ben ADAM was born 3937 B.C. and died 3074 B.C.
5 M ii. Abel ben ADAM was born 3927 B.C. in
Olaha, Shinehah. He died 3905 B.C. in Olaha, Shinehah and was buried in
NOTES:
Abel means 'a breath, vapor; transitorines'. He was the second son of
Adam and Eve.
BIRTH:
Genesis 4:1-2 - 'And Adam lay with his wife Eve, and she became pregnant
and gave birth to Cain. She said,
"With the help of the Lord I have brought forth a man." Later she gave birth to his brother Abel.'
The Book of Jubilees: Chapter 4:1 - 'And in
the third week in the second jubilee she gave birth to Cain, and in the fourth
she gave birth to Abel, and in the fifth she gave birth to her daughter Awan.
(One Jubilee is 49 years plus 4 weeks which
would be 28 years putting his birth at 3927 B.C.)
OCCUPATION:
Sheepherder.
RELIGION:
Abel later made an offering to God (story is found in Genesis Chapter
4). In Hebrews 11:4, the Apostle Paul refers to Abel as the first man of faith.
NOTES:
Cain brought an offering to the Lord from the 'end of the days' of the
fruit of the ground. He lacked a
sincerity in his faith and his deeds were evil.
Abel brought his offering from the firstlings of his flock. He came before God in true faith and
dedication to righteousness. Abel's
sacrifice was respected but Cain's was not.
(If we are striving to live a righteous life
according to His will when we give God our offerings and thanksgiving, then He
takes pleasure in that and will respect our offering.)
FIRST MURDER:
Cain became angry and jealous:
Genesis 4:8-l2: 'And Cain talked with Abel
his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose
up against Abel his brother and slew him.
The Book of Jubilees - 4:2-3 - ..'And in the
first (year) of the third jubilee, Cain slew Abel because (God) accepted the
sacrifice of Abel, and did not accept the offering of Cain.' (Two Jubilees would be 98 years plus the
first year of the third Jubilee putting the year of Abel's murder at 3905 B.C.)
And the Lord said unto Cain, "Where is
Abel thy brother?" And he said,
"I know not: Am I my brother's
keeper?"
And he said, "What has thou Done: the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto
me from the ground.
And now are thou cursed from the earth, which
hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand. When you work the land it will no longer
yield its crops for you. You will be a
restless wanderer on the earth."'

Genesis 3:20: 'And Adam called his wife's name Eve:

Genesis 3:1-6:
