The old Hallacher homestead is one
mile north of Akron, Lanc. Co. IV.
Benjamin Royer's son, V.
Daniel H. bought it; and his son, VI. Samuel
Y.moved
on it in 1857. It is now occupied by Samuel's
grandson VIII. Harvey S. Charles
Herlocher, if not the father
of Annie doubtless her grandfather, bought it of the
Penns May 17, 1749. He is likely the Charles
Hallacher who had land patented
in 1762; and who with his wife was baptised by the Brethren
in 1775.
