V. Jehu Royer was the father-in-law
of A. H. Huber, to whom
we have already learned we owe no small debt in the compilation
of
Royer records. Mr. Huber writes:
"Early after his marriage
both he and his wife united with the German
Baptist (Brethren) church, both being baptized the same
day, as did his father
and mother. He died Sunday, Oct. 22, 1865, of typhoid
fever, five days
before his eldest son, who was taken off with the same
disease.
