322 ROYER FAMILY IN AMERICA
 
CHAPTER VIII.
 
V. REBECCA ROYER, p. 301, was married to Rev. Adam Beaver,
b. June 10, 1816; d. in Buffalo Valley, Jan. 7, 1898. He was a
preacher in the Church of the Brethren. Under date of Feb. 7,
1894, the author received from him a general record of the descen-
dants of IV. Joel Royer. Rev. Peter and Eld. John L. of Union
Co., were his brothers. Their father John Beaver, Sr. was born
July 3, 1789; and died in Union Co., May 11, 1872. His wife Anna
Baker was the oldest member of the church here. The family
played an important part in developing the Brethren interest in
Buffalo Valley. Rebecca had seven children:
