IV. JOHN ROYER, SON OF III. DANIEL.
 
IV. JOHN ROYER,(*) p. 352, (the brother to my grandmother)
was born on Sunday, Nov. 24, 1765. He was married Nov. 15, 1789,
to Catharine Lebenstein.(+) He was a farmer and resided in Mill
Creek Twp., one mile from Mill Creek Center, Lebanon Co., Pa.
He built his house(++) in 1796, over a beautiful spring. The house
came into the possession of John Erb, who was married to his grand-
daughter, VI. Mary Royer, see p. 158. He and his wafe were
were baptized by the Brethren in 1805, and his home became one of
the meeting places of the Brethren. They had eight children:

+ Catharine was the daughter of David Loebenstein, born Aug. 21, 1736; and
died Sept. 28, 1789; aged 53 yrs., 1 mo., 7 ds. His wife Catharine Hoke was born
Mar. 29, 1741; and died Apr. 4, 1810; aged 69 yrs. and 5ds. They had three daugh-
ters, viz.:
 
Elizabeth, born Feb. 26, 1769; died Jan. 2, 1792; m. Frederick Miller.
Anna Maria " May 5, 1771; " Oct. 2, 1836; m. John Geo. Becker.
Catharine " Jan. 19, 1772; " Dec. 28, 1828; m. John Royer [above]
 
The ship Norris, which landed at Philadelphia, May 15, 1732, had among
others on board one John George Liebenstein, who may have been the father of
the above David Loebenstein.
