I enjoyed reading your April 17th letter. Edith Prangley Shirley died on February 6, 1962 in Waterloo, IA. My mother thinks she was born in Jesup,IA. When you visit Waterloo this summer, you will have to look at the Shirley family Bible that dates back to the 1700's.
