He followed his sons, Jacob and Adam, to America and arrived at Philadelphia in the ship Samuel on Aug. 27, 1739. Johann Nickel d. in Lancaster Co., Warwick Twp., Pennsylvania sometime after Aug. 1739. Nickel and Maria Margaretha had the following children in Herran-Sulzbach:

Johan Niclass, b. March 6. 1706/07; Johann Jacob, b. Sept. 4, 1709, immigrated to America with his brother, Adam in the ship Charming Nancy Nov. 9, 1738, resided in Lancaster Co. Pennsylvania in 1760; Johan Adam, b. 1716; Maria Elizabeth, b. c. 1720, and m. Johan Daniel Diehl....."
