son and heir, was aged 22 and more at his father's death, and had livery of his inheritance 9 June 1346. In 1352, and again in 1371, he was joint collector of subsidies in Bucks; in 1353 a commissioner under the Statute of Labourers in Beds; in 1354 joint commissioner to inquire into malpractices of the sheriffs of those counties. In 1360 he was one of the 17 named men-at-arms who, with 20 armed men and 80 archers of the strongest and bravest of the county (of Bucks), were to be compelled, if need be, to assemble at Sandwich for service abroad, for the campaign which was concluded by the Peace of Brétigny. He married, in or before 1355, Margery, whose parentage is not known.
