Tillie and Lizzie Eversmeier each married a Meyers
brother.
If that wasn't enough, they both had sons born
on the same day!
This candid late 19th-century outdoor photo shows
the new mothers
on the back stairs of their homes. Notice the wooden
shutters,
wooden fence, clothes line and the wash tubs hanging
on the fence!
The children (and the women) in this very casual
photo appear to be
dressed in their finest ... maybe in preparation
for their christening.
