This website was not started is not for me personally, it is a part of our Sackett family history and it is my way of helping preserve that heritage. These Grave markers have been around for Centuries but are now getting in bad shape and some day they will be totally unreadable. By taking pictures of the stones we are preserving them as well as letting other family members know where they are buried and when. Being a Sackett, it gives me a great thrill to know that I am helping others and also preserving history.

I was asked the other day how I manage to do what I do being handicapped. I tell them its the determination and wanting to do it, that keeps me going. The hardest thing I have had to deal with was when the Doctors told me my working days were over. Working on the family history helps keep my mind occupied and give me a great feeling of accomplishment. Finding a new person or new headstone is like finding a new piece of a jigsaw puzzle. I know the jigsaw puzzle will never be finished completely. But we have to keep looking.
