Day 2: Bonneville Dam and Multnomah Falls

Each morning at 6:30 am we received a wake up call over the loud speaker in the room.  A short time after breakfast, we docked and left the ship for a tour of the Bonneville Dam.  This dam was built during the presidency of F D Roosevelt and is the first dam built on the river.

We had a lecture telling us about the purpose of dams and about the fish ladders to allow the salmon to swim upstream to spawn.

We also say the workings of the dam where electricity is made.

On the grounds were beautiful plants and flowers
