A
prisoner who worked in one of the homes took advantage of the
temporary absence of the lady of the house and dressed in the woman's
clothes. With a touch of rouge, long dresses and a large hat, he
stepped out and went to the gate. As he passed the gate, the guard on
duty noticed that the shoes did not look very much like ladies shoes
so he alerted the office and the escapee was quickly picked up.
