Bill
Sands was a young, cocky individual, completely soured on society
and hated everybody and everything. Clint counseled with him and the
answer he got was "Who Cares About Me?" Clint said, "I
Care, Bill," and those words turned Bill Sands completely
around. He became a model prisoner and was successful on his release.
He wrote a book about him self called, My Shadow Ran Fast.
In it he gives Clinton Dully full credit for his rehabilitation.
Clint
was national president of the Seven Steps Foundation, an
organization formed by Bill Sands, for the purpose of helping
ex-convicts after they get out of prison. As a high percentage of
them return to crime and eventually go back to prison, there is a
great need to keep these people out of trouble.
