 3.  Hiram3 Ross (George2, Moses1) was born April 05, 1818 in North Carolina, and died February 20, 1877 in Hothouse District of Fannin County, Georgia.  He married Margaret Elizabeth McFalls, daughter of Arthur McFalls and Mary Roberts.  She was born Abt. 1820 in Tennessee, and died March 1895 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Notes for Margaret Elizabeth McFalls:
It is believed that Margaret met her husband when she was visiting her sister who was living in Fannin county. A family story is that she road across the Smokey Mountains from Wares Cove , Tn in a wagon with two boys.

According to the loyalty oaths of 1865, William Collis, had grey hair, blue eyes, dark complexion and was 5' 11"

Soon after 1831 Martin arrived from N.C. just west of the Cartcay River. He was a blacksmith

Appears to be in 1830 Macon Co. , NC census, along with wife and an older woman 50-60 years old.

Notes for Arthur F. Ross:
Arthur (Art) or A.F. Ross was buried in the Douthit Cemetary in Fannin County. He is buried with his first wife. He was Sherrif of Fannin County 1891-1892. It is said that during this time he was supposed to hang a man. He tried to get out of doing it, but had to do it in the end.

Notes for Jay Hugh Bryson Ross:
Known as J.B. Ross. He was one of two doners of the land where Damascus Church and cemetery are located. He, together with his son, John Burton Ross also contributed their labor to build the first church there. J.B. owned about 260 acres adjacent to the church location. John Burton owned an adjacent Farm of about 70 acres.
