FUNERAL OF THE LATE MR. SIMEON FOGG, FORMERLY OF NORTHWICH. - Signs of the respect in which the late Mr. Simeon FOGG, who for many years conducted a hairdressing business in Northwich, was held, and whose death at Dukinfield was recorded in Friday's “Guardian,” were manifest on Sunday, when his remains were laid to rest in Witton Churchyard. The body was conveyed to Northwich on Saturday evening and the funeral took place from the residence of the deceased's daughter, Mrs. WAKEFIELD, 21, Appleton-street, Winnington. The order of the procession was as follows: Carriage containing Mr. HEDLEY V. FOGG (son), Mr. Harry FOGG (brother), Kingston-on-Thames, Mrs. L. WAKEFIELD (daughter), Mr. Lennis WAKEFIELD (son-in-law), Mrs. H. V. FOGG (daughter-in-law), and Miss Carrie WAKEFIELD (granddaughter); second carriage. Mr. John CLARKE (brother-in-law), Barnton; Mrs. CLARKE (sister), Mrs. HYNDS (sister), Widnes; Mr. James BOULTON (brother-in-law, Barnton; and Mrs. BOULTON (sister); third carriage, Mr. John HICKSON (brother-in-law), Castle; Mr. John SMITH (brother-in-law), and Mr. and Mrs. W. PIMLOTT (nephew and niece), Winnington; fourth carriage, Mr. William LEICESTER, Mr Enoch LEICESTER, Mr. Alfred LEICESTER and Mr. W. FOGG (nephews, Barnton, and Mr. Arthur BOULTON (cousin); fifth carriage, the Rev. John IRWIN superintendent Wesleyan minister, and Mr. William PLATT, society steward. At the burial ground the cortege was met by the following members of the Northwich and District Hairdressers' Association: Messrs. J. JACKSON, J E. JACKSON, C. W. HALL, T. CAPPER, and T. PLATT, together with members of Northwich and Witton Wesleyan Churches and tradesmen. The shield upon the coffin bore the inscription; “Simeon Fogg, died February 23rd, 1910, aged 69 years.” The bearers were Messrs. J. DAVENPORT, A. EATON, J. TAYLOR and G. MOORES. The Rev. J. IRWIN officiated both in the Cemetery chapel and at the graveside. There were a number of beautiful floral tributes from the members of the deceased's family.
