DEATHS.
On Monday last, at Five Lanes fair, suddenly, Mr. Thos. CROCKER, confectioner, at an advanced age.
Died yesterday, Friday, July 9th, in the prime of life, at his residence, New Eastern Road, Launceston, Mr. David M'CRACKEN, draper and tea dealer, aged 30 years, after a short illness. Deceased was an active member of the Christian Church; and those who saw him at the tea meeting of the Castle Street Sunday School on the 22nd ultimo, apparently in all the freshness and vigour of manhood, little imagined that he was so soon to be called away from the scenes of his useful labours. His loss will be severely felt, and long will he be remembered by the circle in which he moved. His manner was easy and affable, and he was kind and affectionate to all who came within the sphere of his influence.
“Boast not thyself of to-morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.”
