SHEBBEAR.
The funeral of the late Mr. George BRAUND, who died, after a short illness, at his residence Park Villa, Holsworthy, at the age of 80, took place at Shebbear. The deceased was for many years Clerk to the Holswortby <sic> Board o <sic> Guardians ad Rural Sanitary Authority, and for 46 years he held the office of Superintendent Registrar of Births, Deaths, and Marriages for the Holsworthy division. Deceased was very much respected, and on his resigning the office of Clerk to the Guardians, about nine years since, he was presented with an address and a purse of gold, containing over £100. The deceased was a Churchman and a Conservative.
