RETIRED FARMER'S ESTATE.

LARGE BEQUESTS TO CHARITIES.

Mr. John BRAUND, of 10, Hartley-road, Exmouth, retired farmer, who died on April 14th, aged 85, left estate of the gross value of £43,885 10s 1d, with net personalty £41, 429 8s 8d. Probate has been granted to his brother, William Henry BRAUND, retired draper, of 46, Beechwood-avenue, Plymouth; George Reginald MOSSOP, bank clerk, of Excliffe Cottage, Exmouth; and Bernard Theodore VINE, solicitor, of Station Parade Chambers, Exmouth.

He left £100, or furniture of that value, to his wife, £4,000 and £3,900 stock upon trust for her for life, and the use during widowhood of a house; £25 each to the executors; £1,000 to his niece, Florence ROWE; £4,000 upon trust for his grand-daughter, Elizabeth Angela BRAUND, until 21 years of age, and then absolutely; 15s a week to his nephew, Arscott BRAUND; £3,000 upon trust for his nephew, William George BRAUND, for life, with remainder to his children attaining majority, whom failing, between the five ultimate residuary legatees; £2,000 to Exmouth Cottage Hospital; £2,000 to the Wesleyan Missionary Society; £2,000 to the China Inland Mission; £2,000 to the National Children's Home and Orphanage; £2,000 to Dr. Barnardo's Homes; £100 to the Children's Seaside Home, Exmouth; £100 to the Rest Haven Convalescent Home, Exmouth; £100 to Ethel Grace HOWLETT, if still in his service; and the residue of the property upon trust for his brother, William Henry, for life, and then between the Exmouth Cottage Hospital, the Wesleyan Missionary Society, the China Inland Mission, the National Children's Home and Orphanage, and Dr. Barnardo's Homes.
