BUCKS MILLS

The funeral of the late Miss Hilda BRAUND, only daughter of Mrs. and Mr. James BRAUND, took place on Saturday, Sept. 16th, at St. Anne's Church Cemetery, amid tokens of the deepest sympathy. Deceased being of a genial disposition was beloved by everyone who knew her, which was manifested by the very large number of friends attending the funeral.

The immediate mourners were: Father and Mother; Frank, Cecil, and Mark (brothers); Mrs. Frank BRAUND (sister-in-law); Mr. and Mrs. JAMES, Horns Cross (uncle and aunt); Mr. John STEER and Fred STEER, Northam (uncles); Mr. and Mrs. J. MIDDLETON, Bideford (cousins). The Rev. Guy WHITAKER, officiated and the hymn “Jesu, lover of my soul,” was feelingly rendered in Church. The bearers were her six cousins – Messrs. Fred, Jack, and Tom STEER (Northam), Wilfred STEER (Instow), Claude, and Wilson JAMES (Horns Cross).

The floral tributes were many and beautiful and included those from Mother, Father, Cecil, and Mark; Frank and Hut; Uncle and Auntie (Post Office, Horns Cross); Uncle, Auntie and Cousins (Kimberley Terrace, Northam); Mrs. CLARK and daughter (Bideford); Uncle Harry, Aunt Clara and family (Bideford); Mrs. WATKINSON; Mr. and Mrs. JUBY; Gertrude DEWDNEY; Mr. and Mrs. Philip Cary ELWES (Walland Cary); Mrs. Guy WHITAKER (Bucks Vicarage); The Misses Hill (London Lodge); Selina; John and Family; Tilla, Fred and Florrie VANSTONE; Mr. and Mrs. Chris BRAUND (Bideford); Mr. and Mrs. R. BRAUND; Mr. and Mrs. FRENCH, and Adelaide (Bucks Vicarage); Olive, Mr., Mrs. and Flossie SHELL (Bideford); Mr. and Mrs. Reg.
