NORTHAM.
November rainfall at Melbury, the collecting area for Northam water supply, was 8.75 inches. At the Royal North Devon Golf Club at Westward Ho!, 5.69 inches were recorded. November rainfall in 1945 at Melbury was only 0.96 of an inch.
The death of Mrs. BRAUND, wife of Mr. George BRAUND, a well-known Northam baker and confectioner, took place on Friday at the age of 68 years. Mrs. BRAUND was very popular in the district. In addition to the widower, a son, Mr. Harold BRAUND, and a daughter, Miss Marjorie BRAUND, are left. - The funeral took place at Northam yesterday (Wednesday).
