The sudden death of Mrs BRAUND, wife of Mr Thomas BRAUND, of Fore-street, cast quite a gloom over this neighbourhood on Monday night. Deceased complained of being very poorly on Sunday, and a doctor was summoned, but she passed away on the following day. Deceased was beloved by a large circle of friends as a straight-forward and God-fearing woman. The funeral took place at the Bible Christian burying ground amidst a large concourse of friends. The coffin, which was covered with wreaths, bore the inscription:- “Ann Braund, died 7th October, aged 48 years.” The Rev T. BRAUND conducted the service. Much sympathy is felt for the widower and son.
