A tablet to the memory of Trooper Sydney Herbert BRAUND, who died in South Africa during the war, is being placed by the officers of the Royal N.D. Imperial Yeomanry in the Church of St. Mary Magdalene, Barnstaple. BRAUND was a corporal in the 4th V.B.D.R. When he volunteered for service with the the Yeomanry, and was also a well-known member of the Barnstaple Football Club. He was a bright, smart young fellow, and very highly regarded.
