WESTLEIGH.

The funeral took place, on Saturday, in the Holcombe Rogus Churchyard, of Mr. Robert Howe HURFORD, whose death occurred on Thursday week. Deceased, who was formerly a quarryman, had been unable to work for the past year, in consequence of a stroke. The Rector (Rev. E. J. BARTON) officiated, the service being held in All Saints' Church, Holcombe Rogus. The family mourners were Mrs. HURFORD (widow), Mr. HURFORD (brother), Mrs. H. LEATT (daughter), Mrs. MIDDLETON, Mrs. TOOSE, Mrs. DYMENT (sisters), Mr. HELLINGS (adopted son), Mrs. HELLINGS, Mr. H. LEATT, Mr. T. TOOSE (brothers-in-law). Mr. HILL (friend). The bearers were Messrs. G. BURSTON and J. D. and T. TREVELYAN. The body was enclosed in a polished elm coffin, and the breastplate bore the inscription “Robert Howe Hurford, died October 25th, 1928, aged 60 years.” Floral tributes included those from the Widow and Daughter; Sisters and Brothers; Mrs. HILL and Children; Charlie and Winnie; Girlie and Reggie; All at Royal Oak; All at Lea Cottage; Bill and Ethel; Grandchild Harold, Olive and Roy; and Mrs. VICKERY.
