UFFCULME.

The funeral took place in Uffculme Cemetery, on Monday, of Mrs. POOK, an aged and much respected inhabitant of the village for about 40 years, whose death occurred the previous Wednesday. Deceased was the widow of Mr. Aaron POOK, who passed away over 40 years ago. The funeral service in the parish church was conducted by the Vicar (Rev. H. G. CHALK), who also read the committal sentences at the cemetery. The family mourners were Mr. S. J. POOK (Uffculme), son; Mrs. A. HEATH (Exeter), Mrs. CANN (Barnstaple), and Miss W. POOK, daughters; Mr. Lionel HEATH, Miss Louie HEATH (Exeter), Mr. L. W. HEATH, and Miss W. CANN, grandchildren. Amongst the sympathisers were Mr. W. WEBBER, Mrs. SMALL, Mrs. MORRELL, Miss F. MORRELL, Miss WILLIAMS, Miss LANE, Mrs. ALWAY, Mrs. BIDGOOD, and Miss ALWAY. The breastplate on the coffin was inscribed:- “Fanny Pook, died March 9th, 1932, aged 80 years.” There were many beautiful floral tributes.
