BUCKS CROSS.

Deep regret was occasioned in the village by the death of Mrs. Ada PADDON, of Bucks Cross, who passed away at her home after a long and severe illness at the age of 69 years. The funeral took place at the parish church, Rev. G. S. WHITAKER officiating. The hymns sung in the church were “Jesu, lover of my soul,” and “Peace, perfect peace,” whilst the Nunc Dimittis was also chanted. Suitable funeral music was rendered by Mrs. P. F. Cary ELWES and Miss Hetty DARK. As the procession left the church “O Rest in the Lord” was played. The chief mourners included Mr. A. PADDON and Mr. Arthur PADDON (husband and son), Mrs. J. SAUNDERS (sister), Messrs. Eli, Josiah, Harry and Sid BRAUND (brothers), Mrs. Arthur PADDON (daughter-in-law), Mesdames Eli BRAUND, J., H. and S. BRAUND (sisters-in-law), Mr. Charlie PADDON (brother-in-law), Messrs. R. BRAUND, Leslie BRAUND and Wilfred BRAUND (nephews), Misses Dora and Muriel BRAUND (nieces), and Mrs. Reg BRAUND. The bearers were Messrs. F. DAVEY, R. MOORE, H. HARDING, J. HEYWOOD, W. HEYWOOD and J. ELLIS. Among those present were Mr. P. F. Cary ELWES and Mrs. ELWES, Mrs. WHITAKER, Rev. I. GREGORY, Rev. E. LEWIS, Messrs. A. BRAUND, Cecil BRAUND, W. BEER, W. JOHNS, F. JOHNS, G. JOHNS, T. JOHNS, J. CRUSE, W. CORY, J. DARK, M. SANDERS, W. WESTAWAY, H. DAVEY, R. WESTLAKE, J. WESTLAKE, G. ROOKE, W.
