PETTY SESSIONS. - Friday. - Before the Mayor, (F. HOLE, Esq.), J. S. HOW, Esq., G. COLES, Esq., and Dr. PATERSON. - ASSAULT. - John ROOKLEY, of Cullompton, was charged by Edward HAWKINS with an assault. On the 20th March, the defendant came up to the complainant while he was standing at the Boar's Head Inn, and without the slightest provocation, took him by the collar, shook him violently, and called him an obscene name. He was fined £1 and costs, which he paid.
