AN ILFRACOMBE TRADER'S AFFAIRS.

MR. HERBERT BRAUND MEETS HIS CREDITORS.

Mr. Herbert BRAUND, auctioneer, of Ilfracombe, and proprietor of the Imperial Hotel, ex-chairman of the Urban District Council, and director of the Building Society, who is a son of Mr. BRAUND, the secretary of the local Building Society, arrested a few days ago on serious charges in connection with his position as secretary of that organisation, met his various creditors at the Imperial Hotel on Wednesday. Between 70 and 80 creditors were present or represented. - Mr. C. A. R. CHANTER made a statement of debtor's affairs. His total assets were £4,278. The unsecured liabilities amounted to £5,917, making the deficiency about £1,640. - After a long meeting, during which Mr. BRAUND was questioned at length, it was decided that Mr. BARRETT be trustee; that Messrs. MANSFIELD, J. C. CLARKE, BUTLER, HUSSELL, and BARRETT be the committee of inspection; and that a deed of assignment be made.
