NORTH DEVON.

At Barnstaple, on the announcement of the Poll last week, there were three Votes for Sir Bruce Chichester, one for the Mayor, and one for Pope Pius IX.

On Wednesday last, was buried at Blacktorrington, the remains of Mr. George BRAUND, who died at the age of 98; this venerable and worthy man has for a long series of years lived in the friendship and esteem of his neighbours, and a large circle of friends and acquaintance; and after seeing his children's children established in prosperity, his end was such as all good men may safely hope to meet.
