DEATH AND FUNERAL OF MRS. T. GABE. - On Thursday afternoon, Mrs. Caroline GABE, wife of Mr. Thomas GABE, of this village, died, after a long and lingering illness, at the age of 73. The deceased lady had for many years been an active worker at the Wesleyan Chapel, and was held in the highest esteem in the village on account of her bright and consistent Christian life. The greatest sympathy is felt with Mr. GABE and the members of his family in their sad bereavement. Suitable reference was made to the sad event at the services at the Wesleyan Chapel on Sunday. The funeral took place on Monday afternoon, amid general manifestation of regret and sorrow. The first part of the burial service was held in the Wesleyan Chapel, which was full, and was conducted by the Rev. J. LAVERACK, of Bridport, who only recently removed from Yeovil to his present circuit. Three suitable hymns were sung, and Mr LAVERACK delivered an address. Mr. R. RODMAN (Sherborne) offered prayer. Miss Bessie HALLETT, of Yetminster, presided at the organ. The funeral procession then re-formed and started for the churchyard, being met at the lych-gate by the Rector (the Rev. A. J. SHIELDS), who, with Mr. LAVERACK, took part in the service at the graveside, where two of deceased's favourite hymns were sung. The Rector's presence and sympathy were much appreciated by the relatives and friends. The mourners included the following: Mr T. GABE (husband), Mrs. BEER, Titchfield, daughter; Mr. and Mrs. A. E.
