FORMER RESIDENT'S DEATH AT MALVERN.
A former Dorchester resident, Mrs. G. DODDERIDGE, wife of Mr. Gilmore DODDERIDGE, died at Malvern on Wednesday last week. Born at Bilston, she lived at Ebbw Vale prior to her marriage, which took place at Bedwelty in 1897. She then came to live in Dorchester, where her husband was on the staff of Messrs. Eldridge, Pope, & Co., for 40 years. For many years he was the cashier. He was choirmaster at St. Mary's, Dorchester, for 25 years, and on his retirement in 1923 became licensee of the Beehive, Parkstone, before removing to Malvern.
The remains of Mrs. DODDERIDGE were brought from Malvern on Friday, and prior to the interment rested in the cemetery chapel. The service was conducted by the Rev. W. F. HARDING (rector of St. Mary's). The mourners were:- Mr. DODDERIDGE (husband), Mr. and Mrs. A. E. DEAN (nephew and niece), Master J. DEAN, Mr. and Mrs. J. DEAN (nephew and niece), Mr. W. T. JONES (brother-in-law), Mrs. SKYRME, Mrs. A. J. RICHARDS, Mrs. THORNTON, Miss MARSDEN, Mr. and Mrs. UNDERWOOD, Mr., Mrs., and Miss WALNE, Mr. R. WALNE, Mr. and Mrs. A. S. MILES.
