CAR TAKEN FROM CLIFTON
On a charge of driving away a motor-car without the consent of the owner, William Henry MORRELL (34) and James WILLIAMSON both of 45, Green Street, Totterdown, were before the Bristol magistrates to-day. It was alleged that the car, the property of Mr. Ernest OATEN, was taken from outside a garage at Royal York Crescent.
There were further charges of not having a driving licence or insurance policy.
As the police were not prepared to go on with the case to-day, Inspector LUSH, C.I.D., applied for a remand till Thursday, which was granted, and the accused were allowed bail.
<NOTES: Ernest is Ernest Albert OATEN son of Ernest Albert OATEN and Emma Jessie CLEMENTS, married Laura Winifred or Winifred PALMER>
