CRIMEAN VETERAN'S TRAGIC END

The West Somerset Coroner held an inquest at Taunton on Saturday on a Crimean veteran named William GRILLS, who died from self inflicted injuries. Deceased rose early early on Thursday morning and cut his throat with a razor in the washhouse attached to his residence, where he was discovered subsequently by his housekeeper. To a policeman GRILLS said he could not help it. It was stated deceased had suffered from dyspepsia and pains in his head. - Verdict: Temporary insanity.
